PROJECT DIRECTION
I started this drawing by adding charcoal to the entire page. Next, I erased the general shape of the objects to get their locations. Then, I started adding in-depth value.

WORK IN PROGRESS
The still life had various contrasting values. Part of the difficulty that I had with this drawing is that I needed to lighten spots significantly to let it match the still life, while also giving a clear distinction between the foreground and background.

FINAL ANALYSIS
The piece shows a certain degree of success, but I think that it could have been better if i lightened certain areas more to create more contrast between light and dark areas.
