PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A dark place with broken windows gives off a foreboding ambiance. The somewhat transparent lantern in the opening of the window both creates a sense of repose and adds to the suspense of the rest of the area.
PROJECT DIRECTION
I wanted to add something to the opening of the window. I decided on the lantern to make the worn-down place seem more hopeful. Once I added the lantern, I needed to incorporate it seamlessly somehow. In trying to decide on the method, I stumbled upon a solution that both made the lantern less out of place and more ethereal. From there, I decided to use the lantern to add to the creepiness of the space.

I really like the end result and the lantern does not look like it came from another image. The solution that I found to create the image creates a feeling that, although not initially the plan, works well.
